Carol Apple, LPC

Carol Apple

Recently retired as a Professional School Counselor in the Cartersville area, Carol is thankful to join the staff and ministry of Battlefield Ministries. One of her greatest joys is working with students, young people and parents and encouraging them to use the gifts, education and opportunities God brings along. Carol’s counseling “key word” is HOPE. She knows God will guide us and lead us as we learn to seek Him first and trust in His word and His work.

Carol worked several years at the high school level, then working the last 16 years with PreK through Second Grade. She enjoys working closely with the parents and/or grandparents to equip them and support them in parenting their children. Carol works hard to provide a safe place for students to express their thoughts and feelings and begin to sort them out.

Carol grew up in the Atlanta area and met her husband, David, at a neighborhood Methodist Church. David and Carol recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. They are parents of four adult children that are married to wonderful spouses. They had the last 3 weddings all within 16 months and thankfully before the pandemic! Carol and David have 5 remarkable and adorable grandchildren. Carol is grateful to have one grandbaby close by to see each week, while the other grandchildren are in Florida. The Apples have lived in Cartersville for over 20 years, enjoy hiking at any Georgia State Park, and being outdoors in their gardens. Carol enjoys reading, lots of facetime visits with her grandchildren, and spending time in the Northeast GA mountains. She enjoys teaching women’s Bible studies at her church on marriage and family and discipling young women.

Carol graduated from Presbyterian College in 1981 with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Christian Youth Work. Later in life, after the adventure of being a stay-at-home mom to her 4 kids, she returned to school and obtained a Masters in School Counseling from the University of West Georgia.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5,6
