Our Battlefield Adventures team leads Caving trips. Our March 2, 2013 trip took father/son pairs to Scottsboro, Alabama. Isaac Phillips, trip leader, wrote to advertise the trip:
Join us for a wild adventure as our experienced guides lead you and your family or friends through damp passages, cathedral sized rooms and tight squeezes, past waterfalls and beautiful natural formations! As we experience the challenge of navigating through the depths of an underground cave system and marvel at the unique surroundings, we will also spend intentional time together in conversation about the unusual learning opportunities that can arise from spending a day in the cave! At the end of this adventure many things are possible. But we know that one, for sure, take-away you will have is truly knowing what darkness looks like and how important it is to have a light shining on your path showing the safe way through.
We hope to go Caving annually, possibly twice a year. The trips are open to families. Children should be at least 12-years-old. One father reported back to us a great testimonial:
“The sound of my son’s laughter lifts my soul. I don’t know a time I have heard it louder or felt it more. Months later we still talk about it and we can’t wait to go back.” Chad W., Business Partner
